Nature conservation is a broad term which means wildlife conservation, forest conservation or environmental conservation.

There is importance of nature conservation on Mount Kilimanjaro. Mount Kilimanjaro forest is a home to many wild animals, birds, black and white colobus monkeys, big games wildlife like buffaloes, elephants and more. So when you conserve nature forest on Kilimanjaro, wildlife is automatically protected. Also indigenous nature forest has very big impact on Mount Kilimanjaro Snow. Snow is one of wonderful features which attract tourists. Natural forest on Mount Kilimanjaro helps reduce impact of global warming.

Mount Kilimanjaro National Park Authority (KINAPA) has a mandate to conserve and supervisor all climbing Kilimanjaro tours. Tourists can reach Kilimanjaro peak through any of 6 routes. These Kilimanjaro hiking routes are Machame route, Rongai route, Marangu route, Shira, Lemosho and Umbwe route.

Machame route is most recommended because of its scenery beauty, success stories, and acclimatization potential and have few tourists on trail.
Apart from Kilimanjaro climbing, other adventure tours are wildlife safaris on Shira route and Lemosho route.

Walking safaris can be done in Shira, trekking for wildlife viewing tours.
